Maybe one of the most important brain vitamins could be B6. It is a cofactor for the production of many neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin. It also binds to cortisol nuclear receptor and will lower or downregulate cortisone, which is known to induce depression. Food sources include beans, nuts, eggs, legumes, meats, and fish.
