What a crazy September we have had weather wise. This windy, wet and stormy month has been quite a nightmare for getting outdoors but not so bad for Spring allergies.
Dr. Andrew Arnold talks about this as a reminder that if you are an allergy sufferer it is not too late to give yourself a last minute immune boost to lessen the severity of the many symptoms that Spring can generate.
Those sneezy, sinusy, runny afflictions have not really set in yet (but they will) so before you start thinking you got through this year really well, stop right there!! Forget the over the counter medications that are either sleep-inducing or hyper forming, try some of the natural remedies that actually boost your own immune system to do what it is supposed to do, and that is fight back.
Our immune system is supposed to do the job of fighting off all sorts of enemies and this can only be done if it is supported to fight for and defend us.
Relying on medications to fight our battles is not a long term healthy solution so while the weather is still wet and cold boost your body’s army with some great natural supplements like fish oils, antioxidants, vitamin A, C, E, and zinc, herbs like echinacea and euphorbium, and of course foods like garlic, ginger and turmeric.
