At Cranbourne Family Chiropractic and Wellness Centre, as part of your on-going care, we recommend regular exercise. Our Physical Conditioning Coach, Karen can provide you with a detailed exercise program to suit your busy lifestyle at no extra charge. This means you don't necessarily need to get to the gym. If the gym is your thing however, then we can help you there too. We also have an affiliation with Genesis Gym, Cranbourne offering great rates for our customers.
The aim of exercise planning is to help you reach your health and well being goals with specific exercises and advice.
We also offer group training in the park opposite the clinic, Tuesdays and Thursdays in the morning. Call reception for more information.

You will be shown exercises and provided with instructional information to take home. This ensures you are able to do these exercises correctly.
Please ask any questions you have as it is important that you feel confident and comfortable with the exercise program.
As you progress, your health goals may change. Many people initially come to see us because they are suffering acute pain or an injury. Maintaining your health and promoting long term wellness is part of our goal at Cranbourne Family Chiropractic and Wellness Centre. We aim to monitor your progress along the way.
This is important to keep you motivated, as outdated exercise programs can become inappropriate and not provide sufficient stimulation or results. All exercises are based on using fitballs or gymballs, resistance tubing or bands, dumbells, or simply a chair or coffee table.
We have some basic exercise equipment for sale in the clinic, eg. fitballs, rubber tubing, etc. or we can order in.
Sports nutrition is the study and practice of nutrition and diet as it relates to athletic performance. It is concerned with the type and quantity of fluid and food taken by an athlete, and deals with nutrients such as vitamins, mineral supplements and organic substances such as carbohydrates and fats. Although an important part of many sports training regimens, it is most commonly considered in strength sports (such as weight lifting and bodybuilding) and endurance sports (for example cycling, running, swimming).
At Cranbourne Family Chiropractic and Wellness Centre, in combination with exercise and lifestyle advice, we offer specific Nutritional coaching aligned with your sport you're in to.

My motives for joining a gym was to improve my mobility and strength after a total hip replacement, and stiff joints due to being overweight and minimal flexibility.
After my first interview I was referred to Karen Whittley who introduced me to my quick start program and followed on with my individual program. After quite a considerable time I noted minimal improvement, but the clincher was when Karen started a group session which I thoroughly enjoyed until I suffered an injury because I was trying too hard. Karen showed such compassion when my emotions took over and I was near giving up on myself and the gym. Karen always had a welcoming smile, she always acknowledged and encouraged me when she saw me at the gym. It was because of Karen’s positive attitude I felt it was time to take her expertise as my Personal Trainer. Believe me I have never looked back. Karen has persisted with me, dealt with my negativity, helped me through the “I cant” syndrome. She has kept me motivated and focused, and an added bonus, I have lost a few Kilos. Oh and by the way did I mention that she beyond is also an incredible Masseuse?
